Each year on the first Thursday in May, the Utah Law Enforcement Memorial Board hosts a memorial service to remember and recognize the invaluable sacrifice of Utah’s fallen peace officers and to add the name(s) of any newly fallen officers from the previous year.
This year’s Annual Memorial Service was held on May 1, 2025. In addition to honoring the 149 law enforcement officers who paid the ultimate sacrifice protecting the citizens of the State of Utah, family friends, and comrades honored Sergeant Billy D. Hooser of the Santaquin City Police Department.
