Trooper George D. Rees died in a traffic crash in Davis County.

Trooper Armond A. Luke died in a traffic accident on Highway 89, six miles south of Circleville.

Officer Edwin L. Edwards and Cache County Deputy Alma P. Sorensen were killed in a head-on traffic crash.

Deputy Alma P. Sorensen and Logan Officer Edwin L. Edwards were killed in a head-on traffic crash.

Deputy McKay C. Jewkes died in a traffic crash in Salt Lake County.

Officer Edwin J. Fisher was stabbed to death at Utah State Prison.
