Accidental: Chemical Exposure
Officer Trenton F. Halladay died as the result of cancer that he developed after conducting numerous raids on methamphetamine labs while assigned to the Major Crimes Task Force.
Officer Halladay had served with the Provo Police Department for ten years, of which seven were with the Utah County Major Crimes Task Force. During this latter service Officer Halladay was exposed to chemicals in meth labs, which were medically proved to have caused his eventual death. He is the fourth generation of his family to service in law enforcement. He is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Lisa Kimmel, and sons Colton and Cooper.
