Deputy Melvin C. Colebrook was shot and killed while investigating a domestic dispute.

Detective Percy L. Clark was shot and killed during an armed robbery.

Trooper John R. Winn was killed while constructing a radio tower on Lake Mountain, west of Utah Lake.

Deputy Donald P. Jensen was murdered while assisting what he believed was a stranded motorist.

Officer Don Wagstaff was killed by an inmate at the Utah State Prison.

Officer Charles G. Porter died when he was struck by a train.
